Villa Di Maria

Our Montessori Summer Program Curriculum

Keep your child’s love for learning thriving this summer with the Montessori Summer Program at Villa Di Maria Montessori School in Sugar Land, TX. Our program offers the same high-quality, authentic Montessori pedagogy that defines our academic year, providing a peaceful and natural environment where children can continue to grow, learn, and maintain their routines.

At VDM, we understand that learning is a continuous journey. Our Montessori Summer Program is designed to be a comforting and engaging experience, not a chore. Children will have the opportunity to get ahead academically while enjoying the company of their friends and the guidance of our dedicated Montessori teachers. We believe in providing stability and routine, which is why our summer enrollment is offered on a monthly basis.

We are excited to welcome both new and returning families on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition to our core Montessori curriculum, our summer program will feature a variety of enriching extra-curricular activities with a unique theme each day of the week, continuing the fun and exploration your child enjoys.

Last year’s program details looked a little like the following…

Mondays will be our music day.  Our trained lead teachers will be diving into lessons using the Montessori Bells and exploring the diatonic scale.  The children will also have the opportunity to sing old favorites and learn new songs.

Tuesdays, the teachers will prepare a special art activity and guide the children in devoting time to improving their creative skills and abilities.

Wednesdays will see our students focusing on some topic of historical or scientific significance.  The teachers will give a lesson on some important landmark, famous event, geographical feature, or interesting experiment.

Thursdays are Author Spotlight days.  The children will listen to a beloved children’s book and have a short discussion about the life of the author who wrote the story.

Fridays will be times for outside fun.  Our teachers will lead sports and playground games while encouraging community spirit through play.
