We hope to foster in our children the lifelong characteristics of peace, intrinsic discipline, love of learning, academic excellence and genuine curiosity. Villa Di Maria Montessori offers a remarkable learning experience to prepare children for life.
This is a video from MontessoriGuide.org, showing how the Montessori primary teachers work as the “dynamic link” to the prepared environment for the children.
Montessori education empowers children of all backgrounds. The Montessori prepared environment serves as a place of kindness and peace where children can make discoveries for themselves.
Montessori education meets the brain’s needs of three conditions to learn: opportunities and time to practice; a consistency of approach of teaching and learning; motivation/interest in learning.
The Montessori teacher presents a lesson with genuine interest in herself to the child, and the child is then attracted and willing to work with the material on his/her own to perfection. This leads to the development of a confident, skillful child.
Montessori teachers observe what the children do with the materials, and try to lead them to make the next discovery, while mindfully refraining from making that discovery for them. Because adults are not teaching children; the children are learning from the activities with the environment.
Villa Di Maria Montessori is led by our founder and director, Ms. Sabira Najeeb, whose passion for teaching and cultivating young minds has been a powerful force in the local community for over twenty years. Ms. Sabira’s students after graduating her class always go on to elementary school with deeper understanding of basic concepts and love of learning.

“If education is always to be conceived along the same antiquated lines of a
mere transmission of knowledge, there is little to be hoped from it in the
bettering of man’s future. For what is the use of transmitting
knowledge if the individual’s total development lags behind?”
