I Have A Dream

As we approach Martin Luther King Jr. Day, our Montessori community will take time to reflect on the values Dr. King stood for—peace, kindness, equality, and service to others. These principles align closely with the Montessori philosophy and guide the way we nurture our students each day.

Today we welcomed Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustee Hon. Addie Heylinger to our school. Ms. Heylinger read Martin Luther King Jr.: A Peaceful Leader to our students, introducing them to Dr. King’s message of nonviolence, fairness, and hope.

Following the reading, the children shared their own dreams and questions about how they can help make the world a better place. Through thoughtful conversation, students reflected on kindness, inclusion, and peaceful actions.

In Montessori education, we believe children are capable of meaningful reflection and positive change. This experience will help our students understand that their voices matter and that even small acts of kindness can make a difference.
